BioMed Finance and Planning and Analytics are two distinct departments that work closely to support the fiscal management, planning, and analytic needs of the Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown.
BioMed Finance develops operating and capital budgets, tracks faculty commitments and oversees all things the finances for The Warren Alpert Medical School, Biology and clinical programs, Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, and for the Division at large. Planning and Analytics regularly reports on both financial, performance and research metrics, oversees the five-year financial projection and provides financial and data models for decision making and planning. Together the two departments promote a strong culture of internal controls and strive to improve efficiency and provide comprehensive support to BioMed departments and leadership to support the fiscal management, planning, and analytic needs of the Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown.
