Purpose

The mission of Brown Dining Services (BDS) is to provide high quality foods and services to all segments of the University while fostering a sense of community conducive to intellectual and personal growth. We strive to be at the forefront of our industry, setting the standards of excellence within college and university dining as evidenced by our purchasing practices, menu crafting, standards of service and sustainable initiatives. ​

Brown Dining Services offers a variety of menu options that range from traditional university favorites to regional and world cuisines using freshly prepared ingredients with an emphasis on nutritious, tasty and high-quality, sustainable ingredients. Our retail eateries and café carts feature innovative dishes and on-the-go options while our dining halls offer the ability for our customers to build their own plate while enjoying a communal atmosphere.

The same high-level of service, use of ingredients and sustainable practices are employed in our event planning as well. From mouth-watering dishes to exquisite presentation and professional service, Brown Catering works tirelessly to bring the same level of attention and satisfaction to every event we plan.
