Brown 250th Moscow Celebration and 5th MS3 Meeting

As part of the upcoming 5th Moscow International Solar System Symposium at IKI (, a Brown delegation of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Science faculty, staff, and graduate students will be celebrating the 250thAnniversary of the Founding of Brown University and 40+ years of Brown University-Vernadsky Institute & Space Research Institute (IKI) Cooperation.


This event will take place during the 5th MS3 meeting at the Space Research Institute on October 16, 2014.  Academicians Lev Zeleyni (Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Eric Galimov, and Mikhail Marov (and other colleagues) will deliver remarks as part of this event and a number of Brown students, graduates, and parents will be in attendance. 


The Brown delegation includes Jim Head, Jay Dickson, Erica Jawin, James Cassanelli and Anne Cote.  As part of the formal 5th MS3meeting, they will be delivering seven oral presentations and presenting seven posters (see program at:  On Friday they will be visiting “Star City,” the Russian Cosmonaut Training Center.
