Highlights

  • Brown's 5-point scale has been revised to the 3-point scale of exceptional, effective, and requires improvement. The effective rating covers a broad range of performance and may reflect high and low variations within the overall performance. This will likely require comments and drive conversations between managers and direct reports.

  • Competencies better reflect Brown's values and will also drive more meaningful performance conversations between managers and direct reports. Staff will more clearly see where their strengths and weaknesses lie as a result of these new competencies.

  • Standardized, streamlined forms are delivered in Workday; some forms will be mandatory and will be directly delivered to Workday Inboxes; others will be optional.
