Brown's Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion is responsible for monitoring progress of Brown University’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) and departmental plans (DDIAPs). The DIAP establishes a concrete set of actions articulating how Brown will develop best practices and serve as a leader in promoting more just, diverse and inclusive communities. 

OIDI facilitates the development of a DIAP Annual Report and supports the Diversity and Inclusion Oversight Board and the President’s Advisory Council on Diversity. The DIAP establishes two mechanisms for measuring and ensuring progress for the universitywide and departmental action plans.
