A search is underway for an inaugural director of the FLiCenter.
Diversity working groups, which meet regularly, have provided feedback on professional development and community-building activities. This feedback has been used and incorporated into professional development programming (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion Professional Development Lunch Series, Unpacking Diversity and Inclusion Professional Development Day, Diversity and Inclusion Summit).
OIDI has been working with departments to support pilot programs for department based mentoring.
DOC and CCC are implementing recommendations.
Plans are underway in the Office of the Dean of the College to support both First-Year Seminar and Sophomore Seminar that focus on power, privilege, and social justice, and assessment of both programs.
The New Scientist Collective-Catalyst (NSC-Catalyst) and the New Scientist Peer-Advising and Leadership (NS-PAL) Programs were expanded and initiatives were launched in fall 2016.
A search and recruitment process for a senior faculty director will begin and continue through Spring 2017. A lecture series of prominent scholars, partnering with other campus units on programming, and beginning to explore opportunities for collaboration with Native communities and institutions in the region, was also developed.
The selected Fellows were announced in December 2016 and began the yearlong program in January 2017.
