A new Program Coordinator was hired in the LGBTQ Center, and she started July 2016.
Emergency funds for students were doubled and a new Assistant Dean for Financial Advising was hired in the Dean of the College Office.
Counseling and Psychological Services has diversified its staff and expanded resources for culturally competent services.
A First Generation College and Low-Income Student Center was established, and will officially open Sept. 2016.

The Dean of the College convened a Task Force on Diversity in the Curriculum. Its report will be delivered in Fall 2016.
As of summer 2016, the New Scientists’ summer program partnered with the Department of Computer Science to launch the New Scientist Catalyst-Mosaic+ pre-orientation program. The total number of students participating in this STEM focused program, was twice the size, in number, from previous years.
A funding mechanism will be available starting in Fall 2016 within the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion.
Research centers have submitted DIAPs, which articulate goals to enhance scholarship on race, ethnicity and immigration and diversity faculty and postdoctoral fellow cohorts.
