Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP)

DIAP Annual Reports

Each year, an annual report highlights the status of progress during the preceding academic year for the six major themes outlined in Brown's Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan.

A critical component of Brown’s commitment to fulfilling its diversity and inclusion goals is accountability. Among the specific accountability measures included in the Pathways to Diversity and Inclusion action plan is the public release of an annual report.

Each annual report provides a summary of the progress made in the preceding academic year on the action plan’s goals and informs the community of the effective practices that have contributed to progress. DIAP annual reports also highlight any challenges or gaps in the implementation of the plan.

The members of Brown’s Diversity and Inclusion Oversight Board provide feedback on the progress outlined in the report each year, with a separate memo produced by the board and addressed to the president and provost to make recommendations on continued action steps needed to achieve the University’s stated goals.
