There are a number of opportunities available to Brown students interested in studying abroad in China:

Through the Brown in Hong Kong Program students are able to study at the globally recognized Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). 

Brown and CUHK have also partnered in the Brown Plus One International Program that allows Brown students to earn a baccalaureate degree by Brown and a master's degree by CUHK.

Global Independent Study Programs allow students the flexibility to pursue their own course of study while abroad with the help of faculty mentors, enhancing and supplementing their work at Brown.

Approved Alternative Programs are programs run by other institutions, which Brown faculty committees consider academically sound and have approved for credit transfer to Brown. They are attended on a regular basis by Brown students and are subject to frequent monitoring and review for compatibility with Brown's curriculum.
