Thank you for taking the time to review the draft of Brown's 10-year self-study for reaccreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).  This is still a work in progress, so your thoughts and comments matter.

This draft was produced through a multi-stage process, involving significant input from representatives of all campus constituencies.  In the fall, a number of committees comprised of faculty, students, and staff, as well as many individuals, assembled material to respond to each of NEASC's nine Standards for Accreditation.  Over the winter break, this material was synthesized into a first draft, which was subsequently revised following review by the campus Steering Committee for this process and the leadership of numerous other campus governance groups, including the President's Executive Committee, Faculty Executive Committee, Academic Priorities Committee, Undergraduate Council of Students, Graduate Student Council, Medical Student Senate, and Staff Advisory Council.

Engaging the campus community in reviewing the revised draft of the self-study and reflecting on our mission and strategy is the next, and critically important stage of preparing for our reaccreditation.  The draft will be open for comment from April 20 through May 11.  We look forward to your thoughts and suggestions.
