The Brown University Department of Public Safety is informing the campus community of an assault and robbery that occurred on Meeting Street. 

Incident:

On 3/21/16, at approximately 8:45 P.M., a Brown University student was assaulted and robbed while walking on Meeting Street, between Prospect and Brown Street. The student was approached by an unidentified male, brandishing a knife who demanded the student’s wallet. The suspect fled west on Meeting Street toward the downtown area.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9”, average build, dark hair, with a scruffy face wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with Patriots written across the chest. The incident is under investigation by the Providence Police Department.
