Brown University offers three options for the ordering and delivery of transcripts.  Online, Mail, and In-person (see below for more details).  For a list of Frequently Asked Questions as they relate to transcript ordering, please use the FAQs link.

Delivery Options:
  1. Secure electronic PDF delivery (only available for students enrolled 1983-Present) NOTE: Unretrieved e-transcripts will expire 30 days after they are processed if not opened by the recipient and cannot be forwarded beyond the original recipient.  Effective April 26, 2016 once opened, the document itself does not expire.
  2. FedEx*
  3. Standard U.S. Postal Service
  4. In person pickup (318 J. Walter Wilson)

*FedEx delivery option only available for requests made Online

All official transcript requests carry a charge of $4.00 per transcript and a $2.25 service charge per addressee/recipient.

For example, an order for 4 transcripts to 1 address would be $18.25 (4 x $4 + $2.25), whereas an order for 4 transcripts to 4 different addresses would total $25 (4 x $4 + 4 x $2.25).

For electronic PDF (e-Transcripts) an additional charge of $1.75 is added to the fee structure above due to the digital signature and additional security imposed on the document. In short, the total cost of an e-Transcript is $8 per recipient ($4 + $2.25 + $1.75)

Ordering Options:

1. Online  (This preferred method will ensure the most expedient processing of your request)

Brown University is under agreement with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide a 24/7 transcript ordering service to our customers. Using the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Service requires the user to submit their signature using their consent form to the Clearinghouse to authorize the release of the transcript.
