Our New Name!
The President's Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) met with President Simmons in early November. As a result of that meeting a decision was made that the focus and scope of SAC has evolved over the past 11 years to the point where "committee" no longer accurately captured what we do. After some discussion SAC voted in December to change our name going forward. President Simmons agreed! As of January 1st, we are now known officially as The President's Staff Advisory Council.
Although we've had a name change our mission remains the same... 'to facilitate active and direct communication between University staff and senior administration, including the President, and to provide a forum for input and discussion of issues important to the staff and the University.'
WE ARE HERE TO BE THERE for staff at Brown. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact any staff member; email us at SAC@brown.edu; or use our online form. As members of SAC we will see that your concerns are heard and addressed.
As a reminder, we have many initiatives gong on throughout the year so please keep checking morning mail or here for further information about our 'Best of Brown' series; our 'Brown Gives' volunteering initiative; opportunities to serve on a University committee; and other special events.
