David Cavallaro hired as Assistant Director for Residential Life Operations

I am happy to announce that David (Dave) Cavallaro will be joining the Office of Residential Life operations team Monday, March 9th as the Assistant Director of Administrative Operations.  Dave will be responsible for housing processes relating to occupancy management; room selection/assignments; commencement and reunion housing; and occupancy management reporting. 

Dave currently serves as a Residence Hall Director for the University of Connecticut. where he supervises Graduate students and student leaders in the residence halls while providing for the social, emotional, and personal growth of students in his area of responsibility.  David also works closely with professional staff training and onboarding for the Department of Residential Life at UConn and summer program housing assignments.  Prior to his work at UConn, David was a live on professional in Residence Life for Providence College and worked closely with facilities and operations. 

David earned his M. Ed in Counseling with a focus on Higher Education from Providence College and his B.A. in History from Saint Michael’s College. Outside of work David is the parent of two daughters (2 years old and 1 month old) and enjoys spending time with family and friends.  David enjoys trying new restaurants, visiting Disney World with his family, and binging on Netflix series.  David is originally from Northern New Jersey, but is looking forward to returning to Rhode Island and settling down closer to family.
