Describe briefly, what you do and how long have you been at Brown.
I joined Student Accessibility Services 2 years ago. I provide overall operational administrative and reception support to the SAS office. Serving as the central point of contact, I play a critical role in cultivating an inclusive and welcoming campus community, where I assist students, faculty, staff and visitors with disability related inquiries and requests for accommodations and services. I register applicants, schedule appointments for students to meet with a SAS staff member.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud that I have joined an awesome team where I am able to assist our students with accommodations during their educational and social journey at Brown University.
Name something about you most people don't know.
Ya’ll may not know this, but I’m “Pop’in”, I mean I love to cook and entertain. I like bringing people together.
If you weren't doing this job, what would you be doing?
If I wasn’t working for Brown, I would open a restaurant and most likely would be preparing meals for those in my community who need it. My heart goes out to those who do not know when they will get their next meal especially children. I always say to the people around me “I may not have money to give you, but I can always feed you!”
