The Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology is proud to announce that four students have been awarded Undergraduate Teaching and Research Awards (UTRA) for the spring semester:

These students will be collaborating with their Institute faculty advisors to complete research projects over the course of the semester, as recipients of the Dean of the College's first-ever semester-long UTRA's.

Past recipients of summer UTRA's include the students pictured above, who participated in Material Matters!, a ten week summer research project that encompassed archaeological fieldwork and materials science labwork.

The application deadline for Summer 2009 UTRAs is February 6, 2009. Application forms will be available online on the Dean of the College's website.
