Just in time for final papers, a reminder that the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology offers 3 awards for student writing!

The Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World is offering three prizes to honor students for exceptional accomplishment in the study of archaeology through writing:

   o   I: Prize for Introductory Archaeology Course (ARCH 0001-ARCH 0999) Papers ($150)
   o   II: Prize for Intermediate/Advanced Archaeology Course (ARCH 1000-ARCH 2999) Papers ($200)
   o   III: Archaeology Paper Prize: All Brown University Courses ($250)*
       *Note: This category is not restricted to papers submitted to an Archaeology and the Ancient World (ARCH) course, but will be awarded to the most outstanding essay dealing with any aspect of archaeology, from any time period or geographical region

Papers must have been written for a Brown course in Fall 2017 or Spring 2018, and must be on an archaeological topic. All undergraduate students are eligible.

Multiple papers may be submitted and a paper may be submitted to more than one category, but only one paper can be entered for each category.

Submission deadline for all prizes: Monday, May 14th at noon
