Erynn Bentley received her A.B. in Archaeology, with a minor in Geology and Fluency Citation in French, from Harvard University in 2011. A recipient of the Henry Russell Shaw Traveling Fellowship, she spent a year (2012-2013) at Rennes University 1 in Brittany, France, conducting research on paleoclimate and dendrochronology. She earned her M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from Tufts University in 2018.

Her interests are broad and multidisciplinary. Regionally, her interests include the art and archaeology of late antiquity and the early medieval period in the Mediterranean region and Europe, with a resurgent interest in Egyptology and Near Eastern art and archaeology. Thematically, these interests extend from the materiality and performativity of objects and places; the various highways and byways of cultural exchange and mobility; and public archaeology and museum curation. 

Erynn has conducted fieldwork at The Indian College at Harvard University; the Umbria-Marche region in the Apennines, Italy; Le Petit Taureau Fish-weir at Lannion-Servel, France; and the Daco-Roman villa in Hunedoara County, Romania.
