Mina Nikolovieni received her B.A. in Archaeology from the University of Thessaly in 2003, her M.A. in Prehistoric Archaeology from the University of Crete in 2009, and her M.Sc. in Cultural Resources Management from the Hellenic Open University in 2015. She also completed the Socrates/ Erasmus program at Lund University. Her M.A. Thesis was entitled, “Archaeological Textiles. From the Excavation Site to Exhibition” and her M.Sc. Thesis was entitled, “Multi-use Art Centers. Entrepreneurship, Culture and Social Cohesion”. Mina's interests include Greek prehistory; archaeology of space; anthropology of material culture and craftsmanship; textiles and textile archaeology; objects of domestic life and also museum management and community outreach.
For the last 12 years she worked as a contract archaeologist for the Greek Ministry of Culture under the local Ephorates of Antiquities in Chios, Aitoloakarnania and Attica and also in several projects in Greece (Oropos, Drakaina Cave, Akrotiri in Thira, Fitch Lab at BSA, IKAP, EBAP, Strofilas Archaeological Project). Currently she is working as a general supervisor in the Archaeological Shorelines Project in Kefalonia, Greece.
