Sara received her doctoral degree in the history of architecture at Brown University. Her research focuses on architecture and politics in post-World War 2 Germany. Her current book project investigates theories of architecture and urban design that remained unpublished under the East German government. She has taught courses on architecture and urban planning at The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), The University of Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
