The Office of Biomedical Communications provides coordinated access to web design and development resources for the Division of Biology and Medicine.

What We Do

  • Manage content for the divisional website and its major components -- the Program in Biology and The Warren Alpert Medical School.
  • Develop and execute web communication strategies and policies
  • Consult with departments and offices in creating and maintaining their websites

Biomed Web Communication assists users in developing a variety of web projects—from departmental websites to online registration forms.  A list of services is below:

Web Template for Biomed Departments

In partnership with University Communications, we provide a web template for biomed departments, offices, and organizations.  The template allows users of all technical backgrounds to create and maintain their own departmental websites.  Please contact Jumoke Akinrolabu, web content manager, via email at [email protected] or by phone (401.863.6226) for assistance with creating and implementing a web content strategy for your site.

Web Policies

Departments and programs are solely responsible for the content of their websites. By using a template linked to any of the Division's main websites or hosting a website on Division servers, you agree to keep your content up to date, accurate, and in keeping with the mission of the Division of Biology and Medicine. Revisit your content often and ensure that dates, staff, and other information that changes frequently are correct.

When inaccurate or outdated website content comes to the Office's attention, efforts will be made to notify site owners that their site needs updating. If those updates are not made, the Office reserves the right to remove the pages.
