Research Interests:  Malaria kills over 400,000 people every year and no licensed malaria vaccine confers significant protection against this socially and economically devastating disease. Antibodies to my lab’s novel vaccine candidate, PfGARP, kill parasites and protect children from severe malaria. My aim is to develop a PfGARP-based therapeutic treatment for human falciparum malaria.
