Research Interests: TP53 is the most commonly mutated tumor suppressor and this is associated with cancer initiation and progression, and therapy resistance. Despite intensive efforts to identify small molecules that restore the p53 pathway, no drug with this activity has been approved by the FDA. My research focuses on the discovery of small molecules that are capable of restoring the p53 pathway in tumors with p53 mutations with the ultimate goal to translate these molecules to clinical use.
