Bardiya Akhbari, PhD
Crisco Lab

Biomechanics of Total Wrist Arthroplasty (TWA)

During the years of his PhD, Bardiya has not only shown a passion for problem solving and an unrelenting drive to improve, but has also been a charismatic and humble (though extensively skilled) collaborator.

His research in in-vivo wrist arthroplasty kinematics has provided the research field with some of the most comprehensive intra-articular wrist replacement data to-date; disseminated in thoughtfully analyzed and written publications.

With a bright future ahead, Bardiya is looking to pursue a postdoctoral appointment.

Bardiya, wherever you land thereafter, they will be lucky to have you!  -Amy Morton and the Crisco Lab

Topological Data Analysis of Collective Motion

It's been a blast to work with Jay for his time at Brown. Not only is he extremely capable, productive, and a beacon of inspiration to his labmates through his personal work ethic; he also knows how to have fun! We will miss him and his ~evil~ cat, grabbing late night snacks to power through grueling hours, his complaints about raw fish, and his scientific expertise he ia always willing to share. Jay, we will not forget the generosity with which you give your time, money and energy to help us-- whether it be with science chats, gifts on our birthdays, or just as time spent as a friend! Thanks for everything you've done and we wish you great success in your next endeavor!! -Current Wong Lab PhD Students Amanda, Alex H., Alex M. and Catherine
