The undergraduate midyear completion celebration took place on December 7th, and a diploma will be awarded in May. Congratulations to the new graduates!
Christina Bailey-Hytholt, PhD
Shukla & Tripathi Labs
Using Trophoblast Cells to Develop Biotechnological Approaches that Advance Prenatal and Women’s Health
Christina has made significant contributions to the scientific community at Brown and beyond with her work related to women's health. She has been an amazing mentor and has always been willing to give scientific or lab advice whenever you need it. We will miss her calming presence and her positive attitude but are so excited to see where her career takes her next! -The Tripathi Lab
Christina worked on the development of placenta mimetic interfaces to study prenatal health and advance diagnostic techniques. She founded the Shukla lab LBC and cultured a cohesive and confluent environment within our group. Her achievements set the bar beyond the summit of the Toblerone mountain. While in the lab, no frequency could dissipate Christina’s focus and we know that this quality will lead her to liposofast into a successful career. We wish you the best and miss you already!

Dahlia Alkekhia, PhD
Shukla Lab
Bacteria-Responsive Biomaterials for Prevention, Detection, and Treatment of Infections
Dahlia developed smart triggered responsive multifunctional biomaterials for the treatment of deadly bacteria. As one of the first PhD students she self-assembled the lab’s expertise as quickly as vancomycin diffused out of a PEG hydrogel. She infected the lab with a resistant case of drive and motivation, always pushing us to be better researchers. Her dahli-ghtful personality is a panacea, establishing uncleavable bonds in the Shukla Lab. We know you will BOLT to success and wish you the best of luck along the way.

Adam Snider, PhD
Tripathi Lab
Transport, Adsorption and Reaction of Genomic DNA in Nano-, Micro-, and Meso-Scale Geometries
Adam has been such a powerful force in the lab. He is always willing to listen to your research problems and give advice. He's had his hand in multiple projects over the course of his Ph.D. and has always worked hard to bring innovative solutions to every research question. We wish him the best of luck in his career! -The Tripathi Lab
