Audra Woodside (Robinson Lab) was awarded an NSF Graduate Fellowship and Treshaun Sutton (Delaney Lab) received Honorable Mention.  An NSF Graduate Research Fellowship is one of the highest honors a graduate student can receive. It provides a 3-year fellowship to support their graduate research. Congratulations!

Lacie Dube and Stephen Kocheril have been selected to receive a Graduate Student Fellowship from the NASA Rhode Island Space Grant Consortium. The NASA RI Space Grant Consortium is part of NASA’s National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program.

Lucas Sanchez, ’21, receives a Goldwater Scholarship

Congratulations to Chemistry concentrator Lucas Sanchez, Class of '21 on receiving a Goldwater Scholarship from the State of California. The Goldwater Scholarships are the highest science honor for undergraduates. Lucas is looking forward to conducting research in green and environmental chemistry and teach at the university level. His mentors are Professors Amit Basu, Jerome Robinson and Brenda Rubenstein.

The Chemistry Department is pleased to announce Sarah Delaney has been promoted to full professor effective July 1, 2020.

Prof. Ou Chen was awarded an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Fellowship for 2020. This fellowship is awarded to outstanding early-career researchers.  The full list of those awarded a Sloan fellowship can be found here.
