Prof. Brenda Rubenstein

Professor Brenda Rubenstein has been selected as a 2021 Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar.  Those awarded are within the first five years of their academic careers, have created an outstanding independent body of scholarship, and are deeply committed to education. Each Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar receives an unrestricted research grant of $100,000. A list of the 2021 awardees can be found here.



Joseph Cavanaugh '22, (Wang Group) has been named one of roughly 400 national Goldwater Scholars for his academic excellence and undergraduate research achievements.


Brown University awarded a Research Achievement Award to Prof. Ou Chen. The Research Achievement Awards honor extraordinary scholars for their research across a wide range of academic disciplines. Prof. Chen's research showed that special nanoparticle building blocks can assemble themselves into a quasicrystalline lattice, an ordered structure with no discernible repeating pattern and exotic symmetries.
