Global Independent Study Projects (GLISPs)

About GLISPs

Newly instituted in 2009, students now have the option of creating a Global Independent Study while studying abroad. GLISPs are coordinated through the Office of International Programs. Visit the OIP website to learn more about this opportunity.

The CRC has a staffer dedicated to advising about GLISPs. To set up an appointment with them, please request an appointment by emailing the student GLISP Coordinator [email protected].

GLISP Learning Goals:
  • Assist students in learning how to form and organize a syllabus that encompasses their interests while still being a coherent course thematically/topically.
  • Getting students acquainted with research methodologies so that they can choose those that fit their work best and can use them effectively.
