APPLICANT SEMINARS FOR STUDENTS AND ALUMNI INTERESTED IN FALL 2018 ADMISSION TO HEALTH CAREERS SCHOOLS

Students and alumni who wish to apply in summer 2018 for fall 2019 admission to health professions schools attend a series of 5 applicant seminars during the academic year leading up to the application. We ask that you attend these in the year prior to your application even if you have attended in a previous year without applying (there is much to know and much you would have forgotten). APPLICANT SEMINAR #1 (4 dates in the fall) and APPLICANT SEMINAR #5 (early May) are mandatory. We strongly encourage all potential applicants to participate in the other three applicant seminars as well. All students and alumni near campus attend in person. Alumni far from campus attend our concurrent live WebEx broadcasts of these seminars.

Attendance at one of the APPLICANT SEMINAR #1 dates is also required before meeting with George Vassilev to discuss your application in detail. Students or alumni who have not attended will not be able to submit an HCAD or register for an interview with a member of the Health Careers Advisory Committee. In addition to attending the applicant seminars, we ask alumni far from campus to contact Health Careers Advising late in the fall to discuss their backgrounds and plans so we can provide detailed guidance.

NOTE: All potential applicants are expected to submit all necessary information on time in accordance with the Timetable & Deadlines for the 2018- 2019 Application Process.
