Consortium Programs

Consortium programs offer Brown students the opportunity to enroll in programs managed and sponsored by groups of U.S. universities. Students apply to the OIP and to the college/university administering the consortium for admission to the program.

Brown in Japan: Kyoto Consortium for Japanese StudiesThe Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies provides a program for students interested in Japanese culture, history, language, literature,  and social organization. Columbia University administers the program for a consortium of 14 American universities. 

Brown in Spain: Consortium for Advanced Studies in Barcelona: The Consortium for Advanced Studies in Barcelona (CASB) offers a full-immersion program in one of the leading cities of the world. This program is designed for students in all disciplines with advanced Spanish and/or Catalan skills. Brown + 1 option available. The CASB is administered by Brown University and considers applications from outside the consortium on a space-available basis.
