Swearer Tutoring and Enrichment in Math and Sciences (STEMS)

As a member of STEMS (formerly known as Alegbra in Motion, or AIM), you will focus on tutoring math and science at Hope High School, either in the classroom or after school.

In-class Brown tutors act as assistant teachers twice a week, often working with small groups. By integrating themselves into the regular classroom cadence, in-class tutors are able to form close working relationships with their teacher and students alike. In the afterschool tutoring room, Brown tutors work one-on-one with students who seek homework help or want to review class material.

The program also offers hands-on workshops that develop students' math skills in fun and practical ways as well as the opportunity to learn and bond with a community of Brown students who are passionate about service, teaching, education, math, science, or all of the above!
