What happens when you gather over 1,000 students, youth organizations, topic experts, and celebrities who are all passionate about social change?
Each year, Clinton Global Initiative University hosts a meeting where students, university representatives, topic experts, and celebrities come together to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges in five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health. Students create their own Commitments to Action that address issues on campus, in local communities, or around the world. Since 2008, students have made more than 5,500 commitments, and nearly $2 million in funding has been awarded to these commitment-makers through CGI U.
Registration is open; the meeting is free to attend and travel funding may be available to accepted students. The final application deadline for 2015 is December 1st. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for questions about the conference or how to access travel funds.
