Eligible students (i.e., those who receive a University Scholarship during the academic year and are enrolled at Brown in the fall semester) may qualify for additional financial aid to apply to the Wintersession. The amount of aid is based on each student’s aid during the academic year and the delivery mode of the course (on campus, destination, or online). After students have registered for a Wintersession course, the Office of Financial Aid will finalize the amount of aid per student and will notify students individually.

Eligible students considering enrolling in Wintersession should meet with a financial aid counselor to confirm their eligibility for funding. We especially urge students who receive non-Brown funds (external scholarships) to meet with a financial aid counselor. Outside funds may impact a student's eligibility for Brown Wintersession aid.

Visit the Wintersession Financial Aid FAQ webpage. For assistance regarding financial aid eligibility and financing options, please visit the Office of Financial Aid on the second floor of J. Walter Wilson. Students may also contact the Office of Financial Aid at 401-863-2721 or financial_aid@brown.edu
