Brown Academic Support Services (BASS) provides tools and strategies for student success both inside and outside the classroom. Every student, whether or not they are experiencing academic difficulties, are encouraged to visit our office in University Hall 301 to learn more about resources available through BASS or through Brown. We provide three main resources for students – academic coaching, where students have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an upperclassman coach, academic workshops, where faculty and coaches work with groups of students on developing strategies for success, and academic support groups – a confidential space for students to share their experiences. We can also help connect you to other resources, including tutoring, student life, CAPS, the Writing Center, and more. Drop by our office to learn more!
