1. To increase the number of women studying in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
  2. To encourage female students to pursue their course of study in STEM by providing a forum in which WiSE members can meet and bond over a shared passion for science while providing mutual support and encouragement.
  3. To provide opportunities for WiSE members to gather with Brown professors and women in STEM-related fields to discuss ideas and issues affecting women in STEM fields today.

WiSE Student Coordinators, under the direction of the Director of the Science Center, design and organize activities to reach these goals.
