Student Coordinator - Sophia Tsang

Sophia Tsang, 2015
Lead Athena Science Challenge

Sophia is a junior geology concentrator with a strong interest in education. She tries to combine both interests to strengthen our outreach program, Athena Science Challenge. A strong belief that understanding science and integrating it into our every day lives is vital to any healthy society has led her to volunteering with many school aged children in the hopes that they continue to appreciate how complex the world is. As an undergraduate at Brown, she has studied abroad in New Zealand while interning with the Volunteer Army Foundation (a volunteer and disaster response NGO), been on the Body & Sole (umbrella dance group) board, worked in research labs, and been a Meiklejohn (peer advisor) among other activities. She looks forward to meeting you at upcoming events!
