Writing Center

Brown's Writing Center provides individual and group writing support free of charge to any member of the Brown community. Individual writing conferences are available on the hour from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Sunday - Thursday. Students may request an appointment by using the online scheduling tool.

Writing Fellows Program

Writing Fellows are Brown undergraduates who have been trained to help other students improve their writing skills. After completing a seminar on the theory and practice of teaching writing, each Fellow is assigned to a course for which a professor has requested a Fellow. Fellows work one-on-one with students in the course to help them draft and revise at least two papers. Veteran Writing Fellows oversee teams of new Fellows to help orient them to the peer review process.
