When Rexy Josh Dorado ‘14 first left the Philippines and came to America, he cast off his old identity and attempted to assimilate. But at Brown, he found a way to reconnect with his homeland and rediscover its potential. Here, he talks about how his journey - both internal and literal - led him to start Kaya Collaborative, an organization and fellowship program that empowers diaspora youth to return and make a difference in the Philippines.
