Students can find a variety of pathways through which they can engage in the Center. Engagement pathways can be Programs, Initiative and Research Projects. For more information, reach out to Betsy Shimberg or visit the Swearer Staff page to contact a member of the Academic Programs unit.
The Swearer Center is committed to being a space of connection and integration, a place where students and faculty can explore the application of theory to practice and learn from practice to inform theory. Today, we call this approach to reciprocal and meaningful community impact Engaged Scholarship. For more information on partnering with the Center, please visit the Swearer Staff page to reach out to a member of the Community Partnerships unit.
Faculty interested in engaging with the Swearer Center can learn more about its mission to engage all as co-learners, co-teachers, co-actors and co-creators of knowledge and action on the About Us page. Visit the Swearer Staff page to reach out to a member of the Academic Programs unit for more information.
Friends and alumni of the Swearer Center engage in many ways, including receiving our newsletter, signing up to mentor our students, by hosting a Swearer Center internship, or by talking with a member of the senior staff regarding giving opportunities.
