Karen Malcolm Hosting Talk on Healthcare Justice and Affordable Care Act Advocacy
On Monday, April 24, Karen Malcolm will address the Brown and Providence community in a talk titled "Healthcare Justice: Affordable Care Act Advocacy."
Malcolm is the director of the Protect Our Healthcare Coalition, a group of organizations dedicated to extending access to healthcare in Rhode Island. Born in response to the challenges facing the Affordable Care Act, the coalition acts on the local, state, and federal level to advance progressive healthcare policy. In addition, Malcolm and her team work to amplify the voices of those directly affected by changes to healthcare policy.
Join the Swearer Center for Public Service to hear more about the work she and the coalition do, and to understand what roles we can play in protecting quality, affordable healthcare in Rhode Island. Malcolm's talk will take place Wilson Hall 305. For more information and to register, please visit BrownEngage.
