Kaitlyn Camacho-Orona

I am a Public Health concentrator in the 5th year A.B./M.P.H. program and a member of the Brown Softball team. My work with Swearer first started last year when I received the Royce Fellowship for Sport & Society. My Royce project focused on food insecurity among collegiate athletes and whether or not NCAA policy sufficiently addresses this issue. From there I was appointed to the Swearer Student Advisory Committee and am currently working with the Academic and Diversity & Inclusion subgroups. Lastly, I am working to help build the Swearer Center's Global Sport Initiative by building sustainable community partnerships between Brown's Athletic Department and the Providence community at large in an effort to engage student-athletes in meaningful community engagement.
