Why Brown University AmeriCorps VISTA Fellowship? I chose to serve as a Brown University AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow because I believe the diverse functions of this position will allow me to acquire invaluable skills that will both challenge me and prepare me for future professional endeavors. I was also drawn to the communal learning aspect of the cohort—to reflect with others and to become resources for one another is, ultimately, to become better resources for the community.
