Why I Serve: I serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA member because I believe in the power of committed individuals in trusted organizations within the Providence community to create lasting change. Public service not only provides avenues for others to reach their full potential but also promotes local democratic decision-making and provides long-term uplifting opportunities for those most in need. As an AmeriCorps VISTA, I am able to give back and make real positive change in the community by providing long-term uplifting opportunities for those most in need.
