Jurenny Jimenez Santana AY2018-20

B.S. Biological Sciences Pre-Med concentration, with a minor in Leadership Studies and Psychology 2018, University of Rhode Island

Jurenny was born in the Dominican Republic, but then finally settled in Providence, R.I. at the age of four. She recently graduated from the University of Rhode Island class of 2018 with a Bachelor's degree of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Med, while also minoring in Psychology and Leadership Studies. During her time in college, Jurenny was a part of many organizations such as becoming a founding father for a Pre-Health Fraternity known as Delta Epsilon Mu. She was also a Biology tutor for three years. After graduating, she became a Talent Development Resident Adviser and for six weeks she worked with multiple recently graduated high school students from underrepresented backgrounds in an intensive academic summer success program. Following this, she realized her passion for helping students gain equitable access to the college application process. She is excited to serve as a College Adviser for Central High School in Providence this year!
