B.A. Biological Sciences with a minor in Leadership Studies 2019, University of Rhode Island

Rebeca was born in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to Providence when she was 7 years old. She recently graduated from the University of Rhode Island in the Class of 2019 with a B.A in Biological Sciences and a minor in Leadership Studies. While at U.R.I., Rebeca was part of multiple organizations such as Seeds of Success, serving as volunteer chair academic year 2017-18 and as academic and secretary chair in 2018-19. This organization shared the same values Rebeca goes by, as they are an inclusive and very diverse organization helping students succeed in college, mainly in the sciences. As a first-generation college student, Rebeca wants to give back to the community and help students gain access to post-secondary options.
