Sarah Motta AY 2018-19

Dr. Jorge Alvarez High School

B.A. Political Science & Communication with minor in Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies, University of Connecticut

Sarah is from South Kingstown, Rhode Island. After going to college at the University of Connecticut, Sarah is extremely excited to be back in her home state to serve as a college advisor. Sarah has always had a passion for education, and she is looking forward to sharing that with the students at Dr. Jorge Alvarez High School. While completing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication with a minor in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Connecticut, Sarah worked with First Year Programs, the Global House Learning Community, and Residential Life to increase support and educational equity for underrepresented and disenfranchised students. Sarah strives to be an advocate for her students, especially when it comes to their social-emotional health and physical wellbeing. As a First Year Mentor and Resident Assistant, Sarah designed academic and social community programs that would help create and sustain a safe and inclusive living and learning environment in which all of her students would succeed academically, personally, and professionally. Sarah is excited to work with the students in Alvarez and our Providence schools as they get ready to graduate. She cannot wait to see them achieve their goals and go out and live their best lives! #G.O.A.L.Getters
