Junior Fellow and Practitioner in Residence

Swearer Center Junior Fellow and Practitioner in Residence, Marco McWilliams, is a public scholar writing on forms and formations of self-defense as resistance in the lives and organizing traditions of Black women and is the founding organizer of the Direct Action for Rights and Equality (DARE) Black Studies Program. McWilliams will meet with individual students, offer workshops and develop his own scholarly work. McWilliams will also host open office hours three times per week at the Swearer Center: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-2:30 p.m.
