Jenn Steinfeld is the Program Manager for the Social Innovation Initiative, and is excited to bring her passion for social justice and equity to this work. She has been a Providence resident for two decades, and has worked with many local organizations at the intersection of policy and action, primarily through strategic planning, enhanced fund development capacity and coalition development. Jenn was a founder of Marriage Equality Rhode Island, and helped steward the organization for more than a decade through the successful passage of equal marriage legislation in 2013. Jenn was named a Mover and Shaker by Rhode Island Monthly in 2006 and received an inaugural Julie Pell Empowerment Award for Social Change & Civic Engagement from the Equity Action fund at the Rhode Island Foundation in 2010. She is a student of nonviolent communication and an avid knitter and gardener. She is also a student in the M.A. program in Mindfulness Studies at Lesley University, and would be happy to talk your ear off about using neuroplasticity to enhance wellbeing.

"Loving your enemy is manifest in putting your arms not around the man but around the social situation - to take power from those who misuse it, at which point they can become human too." - Bayard Rustin
