As Program Manager, Juan Carlos provides focused support to develop and implement high quality student programs and greater student leadership within the Swearer Center. He hopes to draw upon his experiences as a student at Brown and his work in Providence to support student leaders.

Juan Carlos has experience working in Rhode Island’s public school system, specifically on issues of college access. He served as a College Adviser with the College Advising Corps at Central High School where he provided students with on-site advising and guidance on the college application and financial aid process. He has also worked as a program and data consultant with College Visions, which advances equal access to college opportunities for students in historically under-served communities.

Juan Carlos received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Brown and his graduate degree from Brown’s Urban Education Policy program.
