Laura is involved in the organizational management of the Center, including the development of data systems, process improvement, financial and grant management, human resources, Center-wide events and special projects. In her work, Laura seeks to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Center and to establish effective and efficient integration of the Center's systems.
Since joining the Swearer Center team in 2013, Laura has held several positions, including TRI-Lab Program Coordinator and Engaged Scholars Program Coordinator. She assumed her current position as Senior Assistant Director of Operations in July 2016. Before joining the Swearer Center, she served as Program Coordinator for the University's Ghana-Brown Academic Partnership to Address HIV/AIDS.
Laura brings experience in community service programming, international student exchange and higher education partnerships. A native of Rhode Island, Laura earned her B.A. in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and master’s of higher education at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
Laura lives in Providence with her husband Gabe, sons Leo and Finn and dog Lucy.
